Exclusive fishing in river Skräbeån

Start the new year and the fishing season with an exciting fishing on a private stretch in river Skräbeån.

Between Lake Ivösjön and the Baltic Sea in north-eastern county of Skåne runs the clear river Skräbeån, a small beautiful stream of about 5 km in total. Mörrums Kronolaxfiske can, in collaboration with Trolle Ljungby AB, offer fishing on the middle part, which is approximately 3 km long. The stretch is varied in character with both faster and slower sections that are more or less easily accessible. The fishing spots are limited and you usually fish smaller areas before moving. There are trees and branches on the stretch, which means that casting itself is put to the test, therefore we want to clarify that this fishing is best suited to the more experienced fly fisherman.

On the fishing stretch, both kelts and fresh sea trout are caught, but also some salmon. The equipment we recommend is a shorter two-handed flyrod around 11-12 feet # 7-8 or a single-handed rod around 9-10 feet # 7-8. Often, a fast-sinking line is needed, where the density varies depending on the flow of water, ranging from float/sink 3 down to full sinking-line in sink 5/6.

Between January 9 and March 15, fishing is conducted only 2 days/week (Fri-Sat) for a maximum of 3 pers/day. The other days the stretch is empty, i.e. the stretch is completely unfished for every fishing opportunity.

Fishing rules for Skräbeån

It is only permitted to fish with a fly rod. All fish caught must be released. When re-released, the fish must remain in the water and must not be lifted above the water's surface.

Schedule

Thursday: Check-in at Mörrum's Kronolaxfiske can take place during the afternoon between 14.00-16.30. At 17.00 we meet in our conference for information before fishing.

Friday: Joint departure from Mörrum to river Skräbeån. The guide will show you the Stretch for 2 hours.

Saturday: You fish on your own without a guide.

Included

Accommodation for 2 nights (Thu-Sat) at Mörrum's Kronolaxfiske in a hostel-standard room, bed linen included.

Cleaning not included. You must be done with cleaning and check-out no later than 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

A guide assists with 2 hours of guiding on Friday.

Fishing license for 2 days for Skräbeån (Fri-Sat).

Level

You should be an experienced fly fisherman and used to wading in water that can be challenging at times.

Participant

Fishing is limited to 3 people per occasion. If all 3 spots are not booked, we reserve the right to cancel fishing for the current day or move to a new date. During this period, there is a great risk that winter will prevent the event from being carried out. In the event that the fishing cannot be carried out, we will contact you well in advance and refund the entire amount, or alternatively move to another available date.
